Responsibilities:

Achievement of Budget and Goal Objectives.  Responsible for assuring Budget and Goal objectives are achieved in assigned region.  Assures profit and growth goals are achieved in assigned region  through development and implementation of sound marketing programs, sales leadership, personnel performance review, sales contests, incentives, etc.  Assures effective customer and member retention programs are in place. Trains, counsels and evaluates field sales and service staff, Team Managers and supervisors on effective means to achieve regional objectives.

Leadership, Recruiting, Training and Development.  Assures local supervision is ready, willing and able to lead a professional staff to sell AAA products and services, and to deliver AAA membership services.  Assures qualified sales and service staffs are recruited and developed to maximize personal strengths, to achieve Budget and Goal objectives.

Representative of Senior Management.  Acts as liaison between Directors and Executive Management, and staff.  Acts as mediator when disputes arise and proactively resolves conflict.  In conjunction with other responsibilities, may represent the entire Club at various activities or events within Region.

Budget, Planning and Fiscal Review.  Responsible for budget and strategy development to support achievement of Corporate profit and growth goals.

Sales and Service Analyses and Reports.  Prepares various sales performance analyses and evaluative reports, statistical and interpretive reports, and recommendations for improvements.  Regularly evaluates revenue, expense and profit.  Promptly creates and implements action plans to assure budget and goal objectives are achieved.

Administration.  Conducts Branch Point of Sale audits.  Conducts regular staff meetings.

Member Relationship Management.  Participates in the company vision to continually improve and deepen the relationship with the Member.  Is expected to ensure the use of MRM Systems - Member Relationship Management Connect (MRM Connect), Comment Tracking System (CTS), Sales Automation Manager (SAM) as applicable with their business lines to achieve the Clubs’ MRM vision and Mission, and Corporate Goals.  Embraces the belief that everyone should be an AAA member and Member needs come first.  Is expected to promote the Clubs’ products and services across and within business lines.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science Degree.
  • 4 – 6 years of progressively responsible experience in business.
  • 2 – 4 years of management experience.
  • Effective leadership skills.
  • Excellent Verbal, written and communication skills.
  • Insurance or Travel Agency Leadership Experience Preferred
Must be able to earn appointments and poses or be able to obtain valid state P&C Insurance license within 6 months of hire.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm

Salary:
DOE, plus bonus and incentive opportunity.
Important Notes:

Regional Sales Managers are also accountable for various responsibilities listed in job descriptions for subordinate staff.

Travel Requirements.  Approximately 3,000-10,000 miles by automobile per year within assigned region devoting time proportionately among assigned branches (likely no less than 20%-50% of time).  Occasional additional travel to common business meetings and to various supplier forums is also expected in the performance of duties.
