AAA Awards Four Wyoming Classrooms with Free Computers
Cheyenne, Wyoming 3/07/11 – AAA is proud to announce four Wyoming educators were awarded a free Dell computer for their classroom as part of AAA’s Driving Success Computer Grant Program. Teachers across the state submitted applications last fall for a chance to receive one of the computers valued at over $700.
“Computers are a powerful tool in the classroom and today’s business world,” said Denice Harris, AAA Spokeswoman. “Many students don’t have access to a computer or the internet at home. AAA’s Driving Success computer grants provide the technology students and educators need for success.”
AAA has long been committed to public service and children. AAA founded the first School Safety Patrol program, pioneered formal driver education for teens and provides child safety seat training. The new grant program is another way AAA continues to invest in communities.
AAA Driving Success Computer Grant recipients include:
Trudy Reuland Spring Creek Elementary Laramie
Sandra Ramsey Rock River School Rock River
Ryan Olson Burlington High School Burlington
Chris Iselin Natrona County High School Casper
This is the first year Driving Success Computer Grants were awarded and were made possible through a partnership with Dell. For more than 26 years, Dell has empowered countries, communities, customers and people everywhere to use technology to realize their dreams.
“Driving Success Computer Grants will be offered again this fall and AAA encourages educators to apply. Applications will be available this October at AAA.com,” said Harris.
