You will also view a 270-metre (900-foot) waterfall, see some spectacular aqua-green high alpine lakes and cross over a 2,700-metre (9,000-foot) mountain pass. Enjoy a visit to a local ranch, where you will have lunch at your leisure. Overnight in Lake Louise. (L)

Day 6 Tour through breathtaking mountain scenery today. Begin the morning with a sightseeing tour of Banff. Day 5  Enjoy a half-day tour into Yoho National Park. Among the attractions are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River. For the remainder of the afternoon enjoy this magnificent location. Overnight in Lake Louise.

Day 6   Enjoy a full-day motorcoach tour along the Icefields Parkway. Upon arrival at the Columbia Icefield you will take a ride on an Ice Explorer to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier. Continue through the magnificent Canadian Rockies to Cline River for the highlight of the afternoon, a 25-minute helicopter flightseeing tour above six glaciers. A visit to a local ranch and BBQ lunch is also included. Your tour ends late afternoon. Overnight in Lake Louise. (L)

Day 5 This morning travel to Kananaskis for a 12-minute Summit Helicopter Tour over the remarkable landscape of the Rockies. After your helicopter ride you will explore Banff on a sightseeing tour. Highlights include visits to Bow Falls, the Banff Gondola (admission included), Lake Minnewanka, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. The rest of the day is free. Overnight in Banff.

Day 6 A half-day tour takes you into Yoho National Park to view some of its wonders. Among the places of interest are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River. Upon arrival in Lake Louise, the remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure. Overnight in Lake Louise.

Day 7 Tour Banff and Jasper National Parks via the Icefields Parkway. Highlights include Bow Lake, the Columbia Icefield and Athabasca Falls. Upon arrival at the Columbia Icefield you will take a ride on an Ice Explorer to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier. Time will be available for lunch (not included). Arrive in Jasper late this afternoon. Overnight in Jasper.

Day 8 Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Jasper to Quesnel. Highlights include the Rocky Mountain Trench, Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, Yellowhead Pass, Moose Lake and the Fraser River. Overnight in Quesnel. (B,L)

Day 9 Your journey continues south today through breathtaking and varied scenery to Whistler. Highlights include sweeping views of the Fraser Canyon, the crossing of Deep Creek Bridge, one of the highest railway bridges in the world, and the shorelines of glacial-fed Seton Lake and Anderson Lake. Day 10 Enjoy the day exploring this exciting four-season resort on your own. Walk through the charming village, take a ride on the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola (not included) or soar from tree to tree on a zipline adventure (not included). Overnight in Whistler.

Day 11The morning is free to explore Whistler Village at your leisure. This afternoon return to Vancouver on the Rocky Mountaineer. Highlights include the Cheakamus Canyon, the dome peak of Mount Garibaldi, Brandywine Falls and breathtaking views of Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains. On arrival at the North Vancouver train platform, you will be transferred to your accommodation in downtown Vancouver. Overnight in Vancouver.

Day 12 Vancouver departure– your trip ends this  morning with check-out from your hotel.
